Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce Surpasses 200 Members – A True Milestone in Community Growth

The Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce proudly announces a remarkable achievement—our membership has officially surpassed 200 businesses. At our most recent meeting, two new businesses joined our growing network, bringing the total to 201 members. This accomplishment solidifies us as the fastest-growing chamber on Long Island without a downtown or waterfront, proving that a shared vision and strong community spirit can drive extraordinary success.

When the Chamber was founded in 2011, Farmingville resident Michael Wentz invested his own capital to incorporate the organization, secure insurance, build a website, and design a logo that proudly features the clock at Triangle Park alongside the slogan “Time to make a difference.” With the help of two other community champions, Michael formed the original board with a unique position—a Director of Membership—to ensure members not only joined but also stayed engaged. That role was entrusted to Marisa Pizza, who now serves as 1st Vice President of Membership.

“Our Chamber of Commerce began in 2011 with no membership; just a vision for the future,” said Marisa. “We are so proud that our impact has been recognized, which has enabled us to keep growing. Our exceptionally collaborative membership leans on one another for services and expertise, which is the true spirit of what a Chamber is all about. We look forward to the next 200!”

The numbers tell the story. Of our 201 members:

  • 78 businesses (39%) have a Farmingville address.
  • 48 businesses (24%) have brick-and-mortar locations along our main thoroughfares.

This demonstrates the local impact and relevance of the Chamber—proof that Farmingville businesses see the value of joining and are spreading the word to others.

In the summer of 2024, we proudly opened our Chamber Headquarters in Arboretum Park in Farmingville to better serve our growing membership. This central hub not only supports our members but also symbolizes the stability, growth, and collaboration of our Chamber.

Behind this success is a tireless team of volunteers led by Michael Wentz and a dedicated seven-member board. Their vision and hard work, combined with the support of our members, have transformed the Chamber into a cornerstone of Farmingville’s economic development.
