Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce Business Improvement Grant

Our Board of Directors is pleased to announce our Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce Business Improvement Grants!

Below, please find the criteria for the Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce Business Improvement Grants. Grants are to be submitted as outlined below, and as follows: on company letterhead, with all applicable documents mentioned below, and sent via email.

There is not a form or application separate from this submission procedure.

This grant is for $1,000 each session, and is ONLY available to Chamber members in good standing.

Grants open each year on March 1st, and September 1st.

The March Grant closes on May 31st, 11:59 PM EST, and the September Grant closes on November 30th, 11:59 PM EST.

The winner is notified after each closing session date.

Please read below for the criteria:

  • MUST be a member in good standing. This is defined as: dues are current, and must have attended at least 5 Chamber meetings, from January 1st-December 31st. All dates must be listed by the applicant, and confirmed by the Board.
  • Only Business owners or management principles of the business may submit an application for the award.
  • Must be in business for at least one year.
  • Non-profit business members are eligible if in existence as an incorporated non-profit for at least one year.
  • The project or purchase MUST be for a future expense that has not yet begun or been purchased, ie: recipient is unable to complete this project or purchase currently, and is applying for this grant for the purpose of proceeding with the project or purchase.
  • Cannot be used for rent.
  • Can be used for improvement of the business/operations, such as: hiring consultant(s); new equipment that will enhance your services; marketing and advertising campaigns to enhance the business’s reach and services; paying key employees for specific new project, services, or endeavors that will enhance the overall offerings and effects of the business.
  • Recipient will be expected to output this expense PRIOR to the awarding of the funds. Once the receipt(s) from proof of expenditure are submitted to the Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for review and confirmation of proper use, the check will be issued by the Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce Treasurer.
  • Applications must include who the grant check should be made out to, should your application be chosen.
  • All funds must be spent with proof of expenditure within 6 months of confirmation of being awarded.
  • Grant submissions must be emailed on your company letterhead to: Eboard@farmingvillechamber.com

You MAY apply if you have prior, as long as you have not been awarded a grant/won.
