The Nick Vavas Time to Make a Difference Scholarship

Each year, hundreds of dollars are up for grabs!

Since 2012, we have offered scholarships to Sachem East High School Seniors. 

We offer $500 scholarships to 2 (two) Sachem East High School Seniors. This year, we will again also be offering a $1,000 scholarship to 1 (one) exceptional applicant!

To be eligible, the student must be:

• • 1. Graduating from Sachem East in the calendar year that the awards are given.

• • 2. Attending an accredited college, vocational, or trade school in the fall (if selected, they will need to provide us with a letter of acceptance from the school they plan to attend).

To apply, students must write an essay, telling us what our Chamber members and local businesses can do to “make a difference” in the Farmingville Community.

Additionally, Farmingville VFW Memorial Post 400 awards 2 additional winners.

That means 4 students will be awarded a $500 scholarship, and 1 student will be awarded $1,000!
