About Michael Wentz

Michael Wentz is the Director of Marketing and Analytics for Adelphi University. He also owns Michael Wentz Marketing, a boutique marketing company for startups and small businesses. He is a creative, resourceful, and energetic professional with over 19 years of marketing and IT experience. His education includes a B.B.A. in Information Technology Management and M.B.A. in Leadership and Management.

At Adelphi University, Michael is responsible for increasing enrollment through digital and other paid media channels. Michael is also responsible for increasing the University’s digital brand and reputation. Michael uses an array of technology to track and report on the University’s marketing efforts and to get a better understanding of Adelphi’s target markets.

Michael has spoken at numerous conferences and was quoted in online publications. Michael’s love for helping others to grow as professionals has now led him down the path of teaching. As an adjunct professor at the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business at Adelphi University, Michael teaches over 13 different technology, management, marketing, and analytics courses.

Michael is not only a leader in his profession; he is a leader in his community. Michael was responsible for launching the Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce (FHCC) in 2011. As the founding president, he orchestrated a branding campaign and spearheaded all planning activities from concept to execution for the annual street fair, attracting thousands of people to the Farmingville community and businesses. His involvement with business and community leaders led to the 2011 Outstanding Chamber Member of The Year for the Town of Brookhaven from the Brookhaven Coalition of Chambers. Over the last several years, FHCC has been voted the Best of Long Island Chamber of Commerce and Best Networking Group. competition. Michael hopes that this chamber will help bring new life to the community and recognizes that this is a “time to make a difference” as its motto states.

As a leader in Farmingville, Michael was appointed to the Accessory Apartment Review Board for the Town of Brookhaven in 2014, and he completed his tenure earlier this year.

In December 2015, Michael was selected Long Island Business News 40 Under 40.
